Green Tea Lemonade with Cucumber and Mint

This Green Tea Lemonade with Cucumber & Mint blends crisp cucumber, bright citrus, and fresh mint with the earthy calmness of green tea for a naturally revitalizing beverage. Ingredients

 
  • 2 cups hibiscus leaves

  • 10 cups of water

  • 1 medium-sized ripened pineapple

  • 2 tsps pineapple syrup (optional)

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2-3 large thumbs of ginger (1/3 cup of peeled) 

  • 3 grains of Hwentia/Grain of Selim

 

Instructions

 

Step 1

Thoroughly rinse the hibiscus leaves, ginger, and pineapple.

Step 2

Peel and slice the ginger into smaller pieces to help release flavor while cooking.

Step 3

Cut the pineapple into chunks.

You may leave some skin on for additional flavor if well cleaned.

 

Step 4

In a large pot, add:

  • 10 cups of water

  • Hibiscus leaves

  • Pineapple chunks

  • Ginger

  • Grains of Selim

 

Step 5

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

Step 6

Once boiling, reduce heat and allow the tea to simmer for 25–35 minutes

until the flavors deepen and the liquid becomes a rich red color.

Step 7

Remove from heat and carefully strain the tea into a large bowl or pitcher to remove the solids.

 

Step 8

Stir in:

  • Sugar

  • Pineapple syrup (if using)

Step 9
  • Allow the tea to cool completely, then refrigerate until chilled.

  • Serve over ice and garnish with fresh pineapple slices, mint, or lime if desired.

Serving Tip

This tea can be enjoyed hot or cold, but it is especially refreshing served ice cold on warm days. The combination of hibiscus, pineapple, ginger, and Grains of Selim creates a bold, fruity, slightly smoky flavor with a natural wellness boost.
